Angkor Temples Information Guide

In order to visit the temples, you will need to get a temple pass. The options are 1 day, 3 day, or 7 days and they cost $20, $40, and $60 respectively. Tickets for the temples are only available at the entrance to Angkor Wat. You can pay in Khmer Riel, United States Dollars, Thai Baht or Euros. Credit cards are not accepted but there is an ATM and a bank counter located next to the ticket booth.

The Angkor Pass also doesn't cover Phnom Kulen, Beng Mealea or Koh Ker temple. You need to buy those tickets individually if you want to visit these temples.

Angkor Temples Survival Tips

The tropical sun is strong all year round in Cambodia, so make sure that you wear clothes that cover your skin. Women should cover their shoulders and knees when inside the temples and it’s a good idea to bring a hat or an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun.

During the wet season, storms can start at any time. It’s always a good idea to keep a raincoat with you during this time.

Mosquitoes are also prevalent throughout the year, so it’s advisable to bring some mosquito repellent, especially if you want to see the sunset or sunrise.
